Second Easter Message 2025 and second anniversary away from Episcopal Anglican Cathedral Khartoum due to the war

Christ is Risen! He overcame the power of death and evil. Alleluia!

Easter Greetings to all my brothers and sisters
This is the second Easter and the second anniversary many of us still celebrate Easter outside our country, Churches and our homes. many still celebrate Easter separated from their families and their loved ones. Even though Khartoum was declared Liberated and the Cathedral was visited for the first time in two years. Sudan is yet to be liberated from death, destruction and hatred.

Normally on Easter season, All Saints Cathedral would be decorated, colorful and full of worshipers. Not 2024 and 2025 as you can see the picture before you empty but full of dust and ashes! However, we thank God that the building was not bombed even though there is great damage and loss of valuable and historical items.

Easter is a time of celebration and happiness because God has revealed His love through Jesus to die and rise to save us from all evils. “For God loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”. (John 3:13)

“Greater has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends”. (John 15:13)

Let us rejoice trusting God that all will be well again. Christ overcame death, and so all who believe in him will live as He is alive today.

I repeat what I said last Easter: May you know the love and the power of the Risen Christ this Easter. It is also my prayer and hope that we will celebrate Easter in our country, in our churches and with our families, friends and our loved ones the coming year 2026. May the Divine intervention bring peace to our beloved Sudan.
I wish you Happy Easter.
